You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

A wonderful reminder!

Can I Borrow $25?

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities. '

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

In Memory of Pearl Harbor!

On December 7th 1941, my grandparents, Floyd and Lucimae Glauser were in Pearl Harbor as the Japaneese bombed the island in a surprise attack. Right before the war my grandparents had just gotten married when they arrived in Hawaii.

Years later my grandparents went back to the spot where it all happened.
It was an early Sunday morning. My grandparents had been invited to a brunch on the U.S.S. Arizona but declined because it was the sabath day. They were lying in bed listening the Mormon Tabernacle Choir over the radio when the attack began. My grandfather ran outside to see what was going on, when he did so a bullet bounced of the bround and hit him in his backside. He was fine but has a great story to tell.
Here they are pointing out where the bullets had hit. They still have furniture with bullets in them from the attack that dreadful day.

Today also marks another sad day and that is that my same Grandpa Glauser died on this same day quite a few years ago.

I have so much pride for our country and I am so glad that we have men and women who are willing to serve in the armed forces today. I like to take this day each year to think about the event that happened not all that long ago and to remember what happened and all those that lost their lives. I've made it a tradition to watch the movie "Pearl Harbor" to remind myself of the sacrifices of those who have made for me and my freedom.

Dad, if you can read this, I love you and I miss you. I thought about you alot today. I went over to mom's to watch the movie together and I looked at the incredible americana tree she has for you in the living room. I can't help but think how lonely you must be and how much I wish you were here this holiday season. You're in our prayers and we will be thinking of you throughout this whole season. I love you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving in the Glauser house has always been a big affair. Cheese balls and Crackers, shrimp Moose dip, the 20 pie buffet, the gorgeous spread on the table, games and movies all day. I love it! I'm going to miss having everyone together this year for Thanksgiving, but I can't wait until Christmas when you are all here. Love ya all! I just want all of you to know how much I love and appreciate all the relationships I have in my life. I love when you all comment on my pictures of what's going on in my life. It's really all about the people in our lives that makes us happy. I'm so grateful for my dad and mom who are sacrificing their lives and time to serve our country so that we may live free and in safety. I'm grateful for my family and friends and the love and support that they show me. I'm also so grateful for the gospel in my life. For the truth and happiness it gives me. I'm grateful for so many things in my life. I don't think I will ever know how much until it's all said and done. I love all of you and thank you for all you do for me and my family. Happy Thanksgiving!

These pictures don't do them justice

These are my mom's Christmas tree's she has up so far. The pictures don't do them justice though. In person they are the best tree's you have ever seen. This year my mom did a new tree the Americana tree in the front room representing my dad serving in the United States Army in Iraq. Take a look. What's your favorite?

Jaden is getting so big. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Yesterday Jaden and I had a fun day! We slept in till 8 o'clock and then decided to go garage selling. That was fun because Jaden got to pick out a few toys he wanted, which he will receive for Christmas and then I also found "National Treasure" on of my favorite movies that I lost, and I got it for only 2 dollars! Then we had a fun lunch together at Taco Bell and went to Madagascar 2! Jaden got a kid's pack that had popcorn, and Icee and a treat! We had a blast and he actually was good through the whole movie! I have so much fun with a 2 year old!

It's Christmas Decorating Time!

I'm all ready for Christmas! I had my mom come over and help me rearange my house for the holidays. She's so good at that and makes everything look so good. Here's how it all turned out! Tell me what you think.

One last goodbye!

From dad
From dad

Last night while on my way home from a long day at work I noticed I had a couple of messages on my cell phone. I picked up the messages and it was my dad. His message was simple in that he said he was getting ready to leave for Iraq in the early morning, and that he wanted to let me know that he loved me and wanted to say goodbye one last time before he had to drop his phone off at the post office before it closed at 7:30. I quickly looked at the time and it was 7:04, my dad has been in Texas the last couple of weeks training to go and this would be the last time I would be able to hear his voice for at least 400 days. All chocked up of the reality that my dad was going to war, I called him anyway to say my last goodbyes before it was too late.
I am so proud of my dad and the courage that he has. I know that he will come home safely because the spirit has whispered this to me. I will just miss him so much and I know for him, me being his favorite, he will miss me too. I love you dad. Thanks for all that you do and the great sacrifice that you and mom are making for our country and for me and my freedoms. Be safe and know that we are praying for you here at home.
This is the song that my dad chose to dance with me at my wedding. I like to think of it as our song. Love ya dad.

A test try!

Last week I had a day off and I decided to go and get Jaden's Halloween Costume. Out of all the things I think he would wear I thought he would want to be Buzz Light year. He's obsessed with Toy Story so I though this would be a good idea. On Sunday we were bored and so I decided to test and see if he would want to wear the suit. He did and loved it. I'm so exited for Halloween now.
