High School Tag!

If you didn't know very much about me before, you will now.

High School Tag!

1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes a couple people. Sean Petty my Freshman year, Joe Estrada my Sophomore year, Jason Hon my Junior year, and Nate Barnett my Junior and Senior year.

2. What kind of car did you drive? I didn't. I always had to get rides with everyone. The Gillespie's, Lisa Hancock, Debbie Jensen and Nate Barnett.
This is Debbie's ride! Lots of fun in this vehicle.

4. Were you a party animal? Definitely. Not in a bad way. We would always have big parties and hang out with lots of people. My most favorite one was when we did a co-ed camp out in the Tortillitas. My dad came as the chaperon. We had a big bon fire, played tackle football, went off roading in Warren Grantham's truck all piled in the back ( I now realize how dangerous that was) and played hid and go seek in the dark with glow sticks. It was awesome! Thanks mom and dad for letting us do that:)

Here's one time when we had a dinner party. We called it "All Tide Up". We had a spaghetti dinner where every one's hands were tide together and you had to try to eat that way. It was so much fun!

When we would go to a get together, sometimes we would come up with a theme and would dress the part. This time we wanted to be cow girls so we showed up this way.

5. Were you considered a flirt? I'm sure I was. I was pretty outgoing and forward.

6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? None of the above, but I did go to alot of the concerts to support family members and friends. Liz was in choir, Graham played the Base in the Orchestra and Kathryn played the Viola.

7. Were you a nerd? I don't think so but I'm sure there were people who thought so.

8. Were you on any varsity teams? Yes. I played lots of sports from Volleyball, to Soccer, Track, Cross Country, I even tried out for Soft Ball. I didn't make it,, but I'm glad I tried. I played Varsity for a short while when they needed some extra players in soccer and I was one of the ones chosen. I played Half Back and Goalie.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No, I'm not that type.

10. Can you still sing the fight song? You know, I don't think I even know what it is. They just played it in the band but never sang it.

11. Who were your favorite teachers? I have quite a few. Mr. Jones with P.E. and strength and conditioning, Mrs. Parfrey my math teacher, Mr. Holt my history teacher, Mrs. Moral and funny enough, Mr. Corner and Mrs. Corner. they were my environmental science teacher and human biology teacher and they are now my in laws.

12. Where did you sit during lunch? My freshman and sophomore year I sat in the cafeteria and my junior and senior year I sat at "Mormon Corner" near the library plaza and walked around.

What was your school's full name? Mountain View High School in Tucson

14. School mascot? Mountain Lion and our colors were black and silver

15. Did you go to Homecoming and who with? Yes and I just mostly went with a bunch of friends. It's more casual here in Tucson. You don't get all dressed up.

16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No way, once is enough for me. I liked high school. I had fun and got to do what I wanted to do. No regrets.

17. What do you remember most about graduation? My whole family was there and just being with my friends and wishing that Nick Thorne would just acknowledge my existence. I had liked him since Junior High.

Where did you go senior skip day? No, I didn't need to do that. I only had a half schedule, plus, something always happened on those days were someone got hurt.

19. Were you in any clubs? Yep. I was in the Outdoors Club and Key club.
Were also participated in all the theme days. We were crazy gals.

20. Have you gained some weight since then? Oh ya. Especially after Jaden was born. I'm trying to get it off now.

21. Who was your prom date? I had a couple. I went with Joe Estrada, Brian (I can't remember his last name) I didn't get asked so I asked him because I heard he had a crush on me and he was def, so I thought it would be fun to go with him. and then I went with Brian Hon, and Nate Barnett.

22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Yes. I hope to go with my good friends, Jeanette Larson, Lisa Hancock, Debbie Jensen, and my sister in law Mary Lewis.

This is what my room looked like in high school.

I tag: Debbie, Lisa, Kathryn, Steven, Graham, Becky, Kristin and mom and Dad.

- NO LIES! We are all adults now and it's in the past :)

Dreams do come True!

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, any wish your heart desires will come to you." That is exactly what Steven did as a young boy when he wished to one day work for Disney and be an animator. Steven is graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation on August 15th. He's also currently working for Disney Interactive, which does Disney's games and works with Pixar games. He said this about his job, "My job in this is world building, I help create everything except for the main characters including lighting, texturing, modeling and a whole lot of stuff that you wouldn't even know."

Congratulations Steven, you've worked hard and long for this and I hope all your dreams come true!

Here are a few of Steven's drawings.

At work I won some free tickets to the Sidewinders Baseball Game for my sales for this past Saturday Night. We made it a fun family night and had lots of fun with all our other Wells Fargo Friends.

We were in the Press Box which was nice because they had food, drinks, and best of all air conditioning. My way of watching a good game.

Jaden had fun going back and forth from the food table and grabbing more cookies.

We sure had a fun free night! Thank you Wells Fargo!!

My Staycation comes to a close :(

Well, to wrap up our staycation Joel and I decided to get a few things done that needed to be done. We dropped Jaden off at Noah's Ark (that's his day care) and we headed to the mall to get Jaden some new clothes. We got so many cute things. Little kid clothes are so expensive though. And we hit all the sales racks.
This is one outfit!
After that we had lunch at Barro's and then headed home. Joel and I both needed to clean our cars so in the heat of the afternoon we went out and vacuumed out our cars and washed them.

After that we were dying and decided to go swimming at the community center pool. Not too soon after we got there it started to get cloudy so we went home I was cool again so it was all ok. We went to go pick up Jaden and picked up some ice cream at the store and went home and had ice cream Sundays. After dinner of course. What kind of a parent do you think I am. J/K.
Jaden loved it!

We just had fun together and watched a show on our last night of staycation. I have to say that I'm so much more relaxed and better equipped to go back to work now. I recommend a staycation for everyone. It's low cost and it forces you to be creating and spend time with your family instead of in a hot car.

One of the best days of my life!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to fulfill a life long dream and go to Dolce Salon and Spa for a 5 hour spa package. I was so exited the whole week in anticipation for my big day. I got there at 9:15 and started off with an Hour and a half combination message. It has combined the warming benefits of heated lava stones, the soothing movements of Swedish massage and the tension release of deep tissue to ensure a full-body experience. This massage also includes reflexology to positively affect organs and tissues through increase of circulation. I loved it. Then I went on to have an hour and a half custom facial. They did 3 different face masks using hot and cold stones and I even got a hand and scalp message with it too. It totally left me feeling refreshed and my skin looks bright and rejuvenated. I was then treated to a lunch from P.F. Chang's and then moved on to my Mio Piedi Dolce (My Sweet Feet)is what it stands for.
This pedicure begins with a warm coco dip, followed by a gentle scrub with Mocha Body Polish. The ground coffee beans and chocolate stimulate circulation, and helping to refresh and energize your body from your feet up. A chocolate souffle masque is applied and covered with warm towels to assist in absorption. The treatment is finished with a soothing foot and lower leg massage using Chocolate Almond Body Butter. Truly a sweet retreat for your feet, it's a pedicure you won't find anywhere else! When I was all done I went over to their make up counter to have a make-up re-touch up. I wouldn't want to go out into the world without something on. I loved my special day and would do it all over again if I could. Funny enough it too is called the Ultimate Staycation Package. Perfect just for me.

Chocolate covered strawberries are one of my most favorite pampering foods and we made these to celebrate our staycation.

Joel bought us these beautiful roses to put in our kitchen so we could enjoy them all week long. They just help to brighten up the home and make me feel all good inside.

Joel and I decided to give Jaden a hair cut. It's pretty hot outside so we decided to buzz his head. He looks pretty cute.

We took Jaden to McDonald's to go play on the playground with his cousin's Paytynn and Trei. He loved it! He would yell, "I see you" from the little holes in the play set.

And then we went to Petsmart to drop Chloe, our Schnauzer, off to get pampered and groomed for the day. When we went back to pick her up we went to see all the fun animals and ended up getting a fish for Jaden.

Jaden loves his new pet. He's named it "Fishy". This morning when he woke up he ran right into the kitchen where he is and got up on the stool and was saying, "Oh, Fishy I love you Fishy". It was so cute. He's so exited for his new little friend.

Our Staycation so Far!

Wednesday started our Staycation, what that is, for those of you who may not know, we were going to originally go to Utah for a family reunion with all the Glausers, but our stimulus package check never came and that's what we were going to use to go on our vacation so we decided with the lack of funds we would have a staycation, meaning we say at home and vacation. So we have. On a low budget, we first started with some projects, cleaning the garage, our office which needed it badly and then went to the hospital to welcome our new nephew Dalin Porter Glauser, Graham and Cherise's new little boy. We they went out for pizza and went to the pool for some fun with some of Jaden's cousin's Paytynn and Trei. On Thursday we slept in and then cleaned the house, real fun huh, but it needed to be done. Went out to lunch with Joel and then we went to the Tucson Children's Museum with Jaden and that was a blast. We came home and got Jaden to bed and made some fun chips and dip for dinner and watched So You Think You Can Dance, I love that show. Today, we slept in again but this time Joel and Jaden played with bubbles while I went and got my nails done. From there we made lunch and Jaden went down for his nap. When he got up we were ready to go to the picture people for a family picture session. We went and got a cinnabon for a snack while we waited for our pictures and then got to pick out our favorites. From there we decided to go to Sonic for dinner and get Sonic Blasts for dessert. When we came home we played with more bubbles and just now got Jaden down to sleep. We're going to make some chocolate covered strawberries and watch a fun movie from net flicks. We're having such a fun time on our Staycation so far. These are the pictures we picked out. Jaden was having a hard time smiling.

Ok, so I need your help. I'm running out of ideas of things to do to maximize my staycation. Tomorrow, we are having a garage sale and then going to breakers water park. Sunday all we have planned so far is church and taking dinner over to Graham and Cherise's home and seeing the new baby. Monday I'm going to Dolce Salon and Spa in Chandler, AZ for a 5 hour pampering session. We will be staying at Liz and Ben's house up there and then the next day going to the Temple together. What else should we do? Any ideas? What would you do if you were having a staycation?
