My Baby Can Read!!

Joel and I have been working with Jaden on having him learn the letters, their sounds and word recognition. We first bought for him from Leap Frog the Word Factory movie and he's picked up on that just great. Then I bought the "Your Baby Can Read" and he's been working on that and then tonight when we were walking up to the front of FRY's all of a sudden he started sounding out the words to FRY's. We were so exited and pleased. He sounded out F-R-Y'S!! I love it!!!He's not even 3 yet!

Family Pictures!

On Friday night Joel, Jaden and I went out to Casas Adobe's plaza and Cherise took our family pictures. We havn't seen too many yet but what I have I love! Cherise is so good at it and I can't wait to see the rest. We were racing the clock with the sun going down so we might need to go do it again, but it was so fun and beautiful that night. Thanks Cherise!

Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear!

While making Sunday dinner we had mixed up a fun punch and was putting it in all our favorite glasses, I realized after doing it how funny it looked. We kind of look like the 3 little bears. Papa Bear has the BIG Mug with the strong handle, Mama bear has the dainty wine Glass and Baby bear has the leak proof colorful sippy cup. Just thought I would share one of my weird thoughts.

"Shake your Booty" Shake, Shake Shake!!

Ok so I was doing my couponing and looking through a bunch of newspapers and cutting things out. Later that day when I went into Jaden's room to start getting him ready for bed I found this ripped out newspaper piece on Jaden's night stand by his bed. I thought it was so funny I had to take a picture of it with him. Jaden loves chocolate milk and whipped cream. Every night before bed we have a ritual where we get out the milk, the chocolate syrup and sing the song while doing the actions to "Shake your Booty" while we shake up his chocolate milk. He's so cute!

The Ultimate Project

Recently I have finished a big project that I have had in mind for some time. I wanted to clean out the garage. Not just clean it, but organize it so that it looks like everything that's in it looks like it should be there and not just junked there. When Walmart came out with all their college stuff they had these great sturdy fun colored totes and they were only $3.50 each. So after convincing Joel he let me go and get as many as I needed to do my project. I ended up buying around 30 totes. My whole idea was to get everything that didn't belong in the garage out and what was left in there to put them in these totes organized into categories and then label them for easy access.

While doing this project you can only imagine all the other projects that have been placed on my list of things to do with all that other stuff. For me, this is so fun! Here are some pictures of my finished projects and projects in the works.
From July 21

One of the projects was to get all of Jaden's baby clothes organized into age groups and out of the garage. It took 6 containers but they are all organized and in his closet so bugs can't get in there.

This is another project that I'm in the middle of. These are our Journal boxes and Keepsake boxes. I'm working on getting the rest of my journal all done. I'm right now in 2007! The keepsake boxes I finally was able to get Joel to go through them and weed out what doesn't belong and we were able to condense his things into one big tot. More pictures to come.

Other projects:
Kitchen stuff that was in the garage
Family History Wall of Shadow Boxes
Keepsake boxes
Joel's Mission Letters
Vision Board
Wedding Collage

A weekend of Fun!

This weekend has been so fun for Joel, Jaden and myself. I took off work on Thursday and had a fun play date with Jaden. We went to the Zoo,

and made what Jaden calls "Chocolate Cookies" which are chocolate chip cookies. We had so much fun together and with no schedule in mind we loved just being together and having fun. On Friday we all packed up and headed to Queen Creek where Joel's parents live. We spent time with them showing them how to do CouponSense and showing them how they can save money by doing couponing and creating a system for that. We also were able to go and be with cousins and hang out and help get ready the wedding for my cousin Danielle

. We loved seeing our cousins and aunt and uncle. On Saturday we had a blast being at the wedding and dancing with everyone.

We were so ready for it all to be done but had a blast doing it. At the end of our night we had everyone over at Ben and Liz's home to play games and talk. I won by the way which is huge in our home because we are so competative in our family. Now it's Sunday and we just got back from church. Our last thing to do today is to have Tim and Cheryl my father and mother inlaw's record their life stories and to get it on film. I'm pretty exited to do this. I've been waiting quite awhile to capture these stories and be able to preserve them for generations to come. As I listen to what is being said I'm coming up with all these ideas of things that I can do to put it all together. Eventually I'll give it to the family as a gift, but for now it's another project on my lift. I love it!

My dad sent these to me and I thought they were funny!

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and Neither of them wanted
to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, The husband asked
sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'
'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a
30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat
everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be So stupid
and so beautiful all at the same time.
' The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me; God made me
stupid so I would be attracted to you!

A man and his wife were having an argument about who Should brew the
coffee each morning.
The wife said, 'You should do it, because you get up first, And then we
don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.'
The husband said, ' You are in charge of cooking around here and You
should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my
Wife replies, 'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible
That the man should do the coffee.'
Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.'
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament And showed him at
the top of several pages, that it indeed says..........'HEBREWS'

The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving
each Other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the
next day, He would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early
morning business flight..
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on
a piece of paper, 'Please wake me at 5:00 AM.' He left it where he knew
she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM And
he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and See why his
wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by The bed.
The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM. Wake up.'
Men are not equipped for this kind of contest.
