What we've been up to

Disclaimer: I somehow messed up with my pictures so sorry they aren't with the words. I don't know how to fix it.

Yesterday I caught Jaden in his room watching Peter Pan all dressed up in his Captain Hook costume all while eating popcorn. I thought it was so cute I had to share my adorable little boy.

The twinnies are getting so big now. They are 5 and a half months now. Time sure does fly. Things are getting to a normalcy now and I'm getting sleep at night. Both babies are sleeping through the night. Yahoo!!

They are such good babies. They never cry (unless I have neglected them too long taking care of the other baby) and they are so happy, giggly little guys.

I couldn't ask for more. They are so healthy and have made it so far with no health problems.

So far we are having a good summer. We kicked the Summer off by going to Swensen's.

Preston discovered his feet

We have been up to Liz's house to get out of the house and help her with some house projects,

Had a spa day with Kathryn and Abby

We went to Slide Rock in Sadona, AZ,

we made over our back patio

Jaden's been swimming with his cousin's

and we have many other plans. I'm loving my new role as a stay at home mom. It is so rewarding and fun.

Project Nikki!!

So now that I have the projects done that I've been wanting to do. I'm now ready to do Project Nikki. I am so ready to begin my journey in loosing the weight that I have put from all these years. I have no excuses anymore. I'm not working. I'm not pregnant. I'm capable of doing it. So, I use this website called, MYFITNESSPAL.COM. It's nice because instead of looking up every ingredient and seeing how many calories are in it, it just tells you how many and it calculates it for you. So easy. I've decided that the way to do this is by tracking my calories and exercises. I know my problem is portion control so this will help. I decided to try something while my body gets use to the change and the portion sizes. I'm going to have Lean Cuisine's for lunch and dinner and for breakfast I can pretty much make whatever I want. I find that by doing that. I stay within the calories I need for the day and don't go over. To bulk up my meals. I simply add vegetables. Who can over eat vegetables? So far it's working great. I started out after having the twins at 209 and when I started this over a week and a half ago I was at 180. That's 29 pounds lost. Now as of today I'm down 4 pounds and at 176. My goal is to be 130 by the end of the year. That's around 50 pounds. I really think this is going to work. On top of eating better and less, I exercise everyday except Sunday. I do 30 minutes on the elliptical and weight lifting and other exercised for 30-45 minutes. If I'm able to if the babies haven't woken up yet, I'll do a 20 minute palates session as a cool down. Take a look at some of the meals I've had already.
Lean Cuisine's BBQ Chicken Pizza with broccoli for lunch

Lean Cuisine's Santa Fe Style Rice and Beans with Corn

I really want to track my progress so it will hold me accountable. This time I'm on a mission for me.

I got borred so...

To get away from my couch I decided to go up to my sister Liz's house. We had a blast! We organized her pantry. We made home made pizza's

We were going to have the kids climb a rock climbing wall but the kids had to be 5 so that shouldn't work. So, we went to McDonald's and had the kids play on the playground,

we went to an ice skating rink to watch some hockey players play. Then to cool off even more, we went to Liz's in laws for a swim. The kids had a lot of fun.

We were so tired from a long day out that we all crashed when we got back. Liz and I figured out that we had gotten the twinnies in and out of the car with all the other kids 12 times. That's a lot of work. We had a great time and were so glad we made the trip up.

Nikki's Outdoor Patio Home Makeover!!

I have for so long wanted a place to go outside to just sit and relax, stretch in the morning and be able to sit and entertain. I finally was able to do that when I sold my portable a/c unit. I only had $250 to do it but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
