I have come so far with this wall. First It was difficult to find out who was who in these pictures. Then I had to hunt down frames and other odds and ends to create it cheap. All my frames were under $3.00 and that’s pretty good I think. Then I had to figure out the sizes and who would go where and so on. It has been a lot of fun though. I’m just waiting on my family tree that I created online. It should look like this:
I’ve laid out all my frames on the floor to figure out a layout plan. Here is what I have so far. I’m looking to cover most of my entry way wall with this so I hope it fits.
I spray painted all the frames myself. I first spray painted my frames gold and then covered them in candle wax. Then I spray painted them black. When they were dry I went over them with sand paper and flaked off some of the black paint to see the gold shine through. I think they turned out awesome and they really do have an older look to them.
So what do you think? Any suggestions?

I can't wait to see them in person this weekend
Nikki you are amazing! I really like your layout; well put together. I do wonder if it's too tall and not very wide, but I've never seen your house either. I'm impressed by everything you do even with 3 little ones.
